Email8

Email8 is the email and collaboration vertical of the Sentin8 platform: an SMTP/LMTP transfer engine, a mail and collaboration data core with JMAP, and full-protocol mailbox access.
What it is
A from-scratch email infrastructure stack — the transfer engine that moves mail, the data core that stores it, and the protocol layer that clients talk to. Not a wrapper around legacy open-source components.
The business case
- Own your communication layer. For regulated businesses, email is business-critical data — hosting it on infrastructure you control (with Sentin8's audit trail) is a compliance and sovereignty advantage.
- JMAP for the modern era. JMAP means efficient mobile clients, instant sync, and no IMAP-idle battery drain — a materially better user experience.
- Full-protocol mailbox access. Your existing users and clients keep working during migration; nothing is forced to switch on day one.
- Collaboration beyond mail. The data core treats mail, calendars, and contacts as one collaboration dataset instead of three silos.
Core capabilities
| Capability | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| SMTP/LMTP transfer engine | High-throughput, policy-aware mail transfer. |
| Mail & collaboration data core | One dataset for mail, calendars, and contacts. |
| JMAP | Modern, efficient client sync for web and mobile. |
| Full-protocol mailbox access | Compatibility with existing clients and tools. |
| Sentin8 tenancy | Per-tenant isolation for every mailbox, enforced by the platform. |
Who it's for
- Enterprises and regulated firms that need sovereign, auditable email infrastructure.
- Platform companies offering communication products to their customers.
- MSPs and telcos modernizing legacy mail stacks.
